Training to be a Presenter

Brainwave Trust relies on obtaining funding to train presenters to deliver into areas where we either currently have no presenter or the need is too high for the current presenter to meet. We train on an as needs basis and only when we have been able to secure the funds required.  Our presenters are contracted to provide Brainwave presentations on an as required basis, so it is not a full time role; but it best suits someone who works no more than part time in another role.  Read on for information on how to start the process.

The training process is unpaid. A small amount of financial remuneration is made for each session after training is completed and the trainee has been signed off as an approved presenter. It is the passion for delivering the message that motivates our presenters rather than the financial remuneration.

To be considered for training as a presenter you would need to forward your CV and a video or DVD of yourself delivering a session of some kind so we can assess your presentation skills.

Once we have these; if we feel you could fit well with our organisation, we would forward you an application form to fill in and return. As we only train one or two of the most suitable people in an area at any time, so there can be some time spent waiting for a space to come up. We do receive many enquiries from interested parties.

Jane Valentine, our presenter coordinator and trainer, is very happy to answer any further questions you may have. Please feel free in the first instance to submit your CV via email to jane@brainwave.org.nz and a recording of your delivery via post to Jane Valentine,  P.O.Box 55206, Eastridge, Auckland 1146.
