Jean Rockel, M.Ed.(Hons); Dip.Tchg ECE, Dip Ed.

Jean is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland, School of Teaching, Learning & Development.  She is interested in theories of learning; infant toddler pedagogy and curriculum; influences on learning and teaching in Aotearoa/NZ; politics of education; and assessment in education.
Jean is the coordinator, Infant/Toddler Network, Auckland; a presenter, professional development seminars, fono; a representative of ECE Advisory Committee/Programmes Consultative Committee, AUT; Editor, The First Years Nga Tau Tuatahi New Zealand Journal of Infant and Toddler Education;  a member of Reggio Emilia Provocations, Auckland and also a member, OMEP (world organisation for ECE).  She became a member of the Brainwave committee in 2008.
