Lope Ginnen LLB
Lope is a Barrister practising in family law and is a Court appointed counsel for children. She is particularly interested in issues that affect women and children and a focus of her work has been child protection. Lope is currently a director of Housing New Zealand. She is a past member of the Executive Committees of Preventing Violence in the Home, the Pacific Lawyers Association, the Auckland Women Lawyer’s Association Executive and the Auckland District Law Society EEO subcommittee. Lope is of Samoan and New Zealand Pakeha descent. She and her partner have 2 children and she has a teenage stepdaughter in England.
