Judge Michael Brown, C.N.Z.M., Hon LLD
Former District Court Judge and Principal Youth Court Judge from 1980 to 1995. He was Chancellor of Auckland University from 1986 to 1991 and is currently adjunct Professor of Law at Waikato University. He has tribal affiliations with Ngati-Kahu, Te Aupori, Te Rarawa and Ngapuhi. Michael Brown is actively involved in numerous organisations, trusts and educational foundations, including many in the Maori community. In his role as Patron of Brainwave he participates in strategic decision making and contributes to the direction of the Trust.
