Helen is a mother of two teenage boys. As pre-schoolers, both she and the boys went to play centre as she strongly believed in parents being children’s first teachers.
Helen has worked mainly in the not-for-profit sector since returning to work, first with The Fred Hollows Foundation where she stayed for 5 years assisting the organisation through a period of rapid growth. Since leaving The Fred Hollows Foundation in 2010 Helen has been contracting to a number of organisations. She is passionate about working for non-profit organisations and ensuring their finances are effectively and efficiently managed.
Helen first heard about Brainwave Trust through a seminar she attended at her son’s school. She was very impressed with the quality and content of the presentation; and felt that everyone involved in a child or young person’s life needed to know this information. She is delighted to now be working for the Brainwave Trust.
