Author, educator, facilitator, Sarah Best has worked for over a decade educating and inspiring parents and those working with children and whanau about the importance of childhood brain development and the ways in which we impact this significantly.

It began by attending Playcentre with her three daughters and quickly snowballed to facilitating workshops for SPACE, Playcentre and other early childhood organisations along with joining the Brainwave team in 2010.

She completed the Playcentre Adult Education Diploma in Leadership in 2013 and published her first book “Changing the World is Child’s Play”, in 2015.

In her pre-children life, Sarah was an IT Programme Manager, building up from being a Project Manager and Computer Programmer after completing her BSc in Mathematics at Canterbury University in the ’90s.

Sarah is currently the National Coach and mid region Schools Leader for Brainwave Trust Aotearoa. For adults, she delivers seminars and facilitates full and half day workshops on both the Early Years and Adolescence. For high school students Sarah runs Brainwave’s Schools programme where funding is available.
