Lauren has an MSW and PhD in Social Work and is the Co-Director of the Centre for Attachment. She is a lifetime member of Infant Mental Health Association Aotearoa New Zealand (IMHAANZ) as well as a member of the Australian Association for Infant Mental Health (AAIMHI). She has worked in a wide range of settings and communities in New Zealand and Australia, as well as in Germany and the USA supporting children and families.

Her professional focus is the merging of attachment theory with neuroscientific data, with an eye toward the practical applications of everyday life.

She is the mother of two and the wife of one.
